湖人巨星詹姆斯（Lebron James）已因傷缺陣近一個月，稍早，多位外媒表示，他有望在賽季尾聲重回賽場。不過，詹姆斯也隨即在個人推特表示尚未有明確時程。

詹姆斯於美國時間2月26日，對上獨行俠隊比賽中，在一次進攻時因傷退場，最後確認為右腳肌腱傷勢，並離開賽場至今、錯過12場比賽，期間球隊取得7勝5負戰績，包括昨天以122：111戰勝太陽隊。

而根據ESPN記者麥克曼奈明（Dave McMenamin），湖人球團表示詹姆斯已在進行球場活動，並正在「漸進的籃球動作」。沃納羅斯基（Adrian Wojnarowski）之後轉推這則消息，並加註詹姆斯很可能在例行賽結束前打幾場比賽；查拉尼亞（Shams Charania）也說詹姆斯有機會在季末打3、4場比賽。

不過，湖人球團同時提到，詹姆斯並沒有明確的回歸時程，後者也在個人推特上發文說：「今天並沒有評估（傷勢），也沒有為我的回歸設下日期。我就是每天按時訓練，讓自己能滿血回歸賽場，不論那天是何時。祝福所有『消息來源』，我為自己發言！」

西區季後賽卡位戰已漸趨白熱化，雖然湖人以36勝37負位居西區第10，但跟第6名勇士僅1.5場勝差，急需詹姆斯回歸爭取更好的排名。
